i just go tthis postcard thing in the mail and it has my car model and some ID number o___O
on the top it says in red IMPORTANT MOTOR VEHICLE
along with a phone number teling me to call them with my mileage

sounds like a scam. call them, ask for the manager or supervisor, and then ask why you have to give out information. i've never had that happen to me.

thanks for the replies, i googled the number and it is some advertising technique to get people to call that 1-800 number.
