Question:
The Sox should take this handily in 5.
Answer:
Based on evaluations of both teams I think the White Sox should win. The Wild Card teams are always going to be formidable though. I mean they are in the playoffs because they were the hottest club going into the postseason.
Answer:
Go go Astros! It's exciting that both teams made it into the World Series...too bad one of them has to lose, and hopefully it'll be the White Sox =P
Answer:
I want Astros, but White Sox are to good and have 4 games at there yard.

i'm going w/ the Astros since i'm a fan but i respect the White Sox for the way they played thruout the season .....very much like the Astros - 2 teams that overcame a lot of the naysayers to make it to the big dance
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) if the wild card wins the WS this yr, i think everybody should just play for the wild card spot next yr (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Answer:
this is gonna be a great game.
i want white sox to win ^^
Answer:
I say White Sox...but it'll be close...both are small ball teams with excellent pitching, but it all depends on which can come through in clutch spots. The Astros managed to shut down the Cardinals, but that could be overrated because the Cardinals were missing their bigger bats and were sort of slumping coming into October.
The White Sox have a very good pitching rotation, but the question is can they come through in these situations. Buerle and Garcia I think are pitchers you can rely on to come through, along with I guess Hernandez. Contreras and Garland both can lose games and although pitching gems against the Angels must come through.
Their power hitters haven't been coming through much other than Paul Konerko's blast in the last game, but if Podsednik gets on base they have a chance with either Tad if he's batting second, Carl Everett, or Paul Kornerko to pop him in. Joe Crede is a dangerous hitter in the 8 spot, I'd watch out for him too. If they can hold off the Astros offense and score at least 3 runs they'd take the series easily.
The problem is can they score against the Houston pitching? I say yes, Clemens has proven to be hittable a few times and Oswalt gives up runs too. The Astros top three pitchers can only take them so far, and they can't start relievers. Backe I feel is unreliable.
A fact to bring up is that the Astros managed to hit the very best that the Cards threw at them, including the Cy Young candidate Chris Carpenter. You could say that the Cards lost because of the lack of offense, but if the pitchers had pitched well and held the Astros to 1 or 2 runs then maybe they would've won
Answer:
after seeing clemens go down, and assuming he wont be around game 5, and because the chisox look like theyre going to take game one, im going to say white sox.
no clemens = trouble for astros
Answer:
sox bullpen hasn't thrown in 23498727349823 days, with all that rest, and the bullpen being that good to being with, in the immortal words of stu scott, astros chances are slim to none, and let me tell you, slim just walked out the building.
Answer:
lol yea, man Sox's bullpen is owning. Cotts and Jenks (?) owned the astros.
Answer:
White Sox
Answer:
Ooh, it's so hard to decide who to root for.
White Sox fans deserve it, plus they've been waiting for 88 years..
..but Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio are so loyal, I feel they deserve a championsip too
Answer:
white sox in 6
Answer:
bagwell's batting stance is the second funniest stance behind tony batista's taking a sht standing stance.
Answer:
white sox!
garland and buerhle totally rock. freddy garcia tends to be a little shaky, and he's the one that scares me the most whenever he's pitching. contreras did pretty well yesterday, though neal cotts and bobby jenks completely owned last night. 2 men on base, w/ one at 3rd, and no outs and we STILL got out of that one. joe crede has been awesome w/ his defense and his hitting is always at its best whenever we REALLY need it. iguchi did absolutely nothing last night, but heres to hoping he'll do better tonight. and scott podsednik rocks. =D 2 out rbi triple.
GO SOX.
Answer:
Iguchi is a strike out machine.
Answer:
