i searched through about 5 pages and i couldn't find a waterpolo thread
so i am going to assume that there isn't one.
waterpolo doesn't seem like a popular sport
but there's actually a lot of people who do play it
so..
who plays waterpolo in here?

well, i played a few times for the club at my school since we don't have an official team, and it's pretty fun. being goalie is fun too, but i rather do defense. lol, i just don't want to get hit in the face. XD

^^ lol, gross. the pool i practice in...they only warm it up SOMETIMES, those jerks. XD just the other day, i was playing goalie and someone threw the ball to try and make a goal. when i blocked it, it made a loud slapping sound. they thought that i was hurt and kept apologizing. lol i'm not that fragile. ^___^

i really liked playing polo. but since i'm pretty small compared to everyone in the league, its pretty tough on me.
my coach hated me and was always yelling at me for mini cooper i didn't do so i quit my senior year. i was recruited for goalie but my mom wouldn't let me even though i had the legs for it. i really hated how i always got a bloody lip every game though. its really fun to play after swim season and during the summer for fun.

Usually, Boy season is during fall, girls season is winter right before swim season for me.
I tried joining this year becuase i needed a sport . I had mandatory practice even though i wanted to do condtioning for swim. It was all right but i had to quit for family and other stuff ( i couldn't swim well) . but out there its fun but its pretty brutal. Practice were hectic. Morning practice 6 -7. and 2- 4:30 after school. every single day except for sunday and christamas . Regardless of rain or shine.
But water polo is a very respectful sport. i have to say. every second matters. we're doing like ten things at one. egg beating, swiming, watchign for the ball. etc. and amny things happen ... . biting kicking punching.. and leg cramps ----- .
Overall its fun watching and playing.

at my school, boys and girls are during the same season. practice from 6-7 isn't that bad, i had practice 5:30-7 am then school at 7:30 all the way till 3 followed by practice from 3:30-5:30 the rain or shine thing, you just accept it because you're in water anyways, it just sucks ass when its cold.
after a while, everything becomes normal (yes even the biting, kicking, punching...etc)
i think the funnest part of polo is when you get away with everything. plus theres a lot of screaming from inside the pool and outside the pool. but everything outside, you never hear.

i dont really know much about football.
except one touchdown is worth 7 points? right?
and then you can go for either the 4, 2, or 1 after a touchdown?
or am i just mixing that up & totally not know anything
but last season the boys waterpolo varsity had a polo game against our football varsity team
(and they're good football players. i think they were undefeated this season)
but they couldnt do anything
after about 2 minutes, they were literally just hanging on to the edge of the pool, waiting for the ball to come down to that side of the pool
..but i guess that has nothing to do w/ the brutality of the sport..
so i dont know why i told that story haha
