SEOUL (AFP) - South Korea's exciting new star Park Chu-young has won another award, K-League rookie of the year, to go with his Asian Football Confederation (AFC) young player of the year gong.
Park, 20, won all 73 votes cast by newspapers and broadcasters in South Korea -- unprecedented in the award's 20-year history.
After bursting onto the scene last year in the AFC Youth Championship, Park signed a professional deal with K-League outfit FC Seoul in March and single-handedly boosted attendance wherever he played.

He was the league's top scorer despite missing almost a quarter of the season due to international commitments.
Known as Football Genius and Koreas Hope in the media, he scored an important last-minute equaliser to grab a point in Uzbekistan during World Cup qualifying and then scored the opening goal in the following game in Kuwait.
I'm so happy that I don't know what to say, Park said.
South Korea have been drawn in Group G at next year's World Cup, facing African debutants Togo, 1998 champions France and Switzerland.
