"Brushoff" Leather - Brunomagli

Question:
Saw these shoes on Grapevinehill and was wondering what the heck "brushoff leather" is. I'm guessing it's a better sounding version of corrected grain. These look black to me and don't appear to be shell, so I'm also not sure why they are represented as "cordovan".
I know most regard Brunomagli as cement jobs, etc., but I like a lot of their styling.

Answer:
yup, brushoff = corrected grain.
i suspect they are being represented as cordovan in the color sense, not the material sense.
Answer:
Yes, and I think the desription of the color as cordovan is just a mistake -- a mismatch between text and picture.
Answer:
Thanks guys. The picture was surely suspect, so I'll pass. If anyone's interested, GVH is also selling these on eBay and I suspect they'll go for a good bit less than $200.
Answer:
actually, i think the color is what BM thinks is cordovan color. if you expand it, you can pick out some reddish tones in there. it's probably a very dark and almost black burgundy.
