How to measure the rise of pants?

Question:
To do this, does one simply measure from the bottom of the crotch to the top of the waistband? Or do you do something else? Thanks.
Answer:
You can do that or measure the pants from top to bottom and subtract the inseam.
Answer:
Keep in mind that front and back rise can be different.
Answer:
Thought the formula was Rise = Outseam - Inseam.
Answer:
Crotch seam to waist band.
Note that because the rise is a curve, the rise plus inseam measures can be greater than the outseam.
