Opinions on Mulholland Bros.

Question:
I'm interested in upgrading my current ballistic nylon Tumi computer briefcase and duffel to something more elegant made of leather. Here are some items from Mulholland Bros that I'm considering in either their Lariat or Bridle tan leather:

How does Mulholland Bros compare with similar brands like Hartmann and Ghurka in terms of quality and value? Are there other brands that I should consider? Thanks!
Answer:
Early Mulholland (nee Holland) stuff was very well made. The current stuff is stamped out in the far East, and isn't what it used to be. That said it's nice looking stuff, relatively durable, and I like their leather.
No comparison to Ghurka, IMHO. Hartmann is probably made better, but Mullholland styling is much better, also IMO.
Answer:
An easy to overlook point in Mulholland's favor is that they fix their stuff for its lifetime, for free.
I'm not sure what they consider a lifetime but they are replacing a broken part on a ten year old case as I write this. No charge.
