Lengthening Sleeves on a Suit

Question:
Hi,
It's more complcated than it sounds...
I have a Gieves and Hawkes with working sleeve buttons. I inherited it and like me, my grandfather had a right shoulder that's more high than the left. However, his was higher, so the sleeve is shorter on my arm.
When I asked my tailor if he could lengthen the sleeve on it he said he couldn't because of the working buttons.
So I'm wondering if it's possible, and as such should I find another tailor?
Thanks in advance.
Answer:
Probably not.
Whether actual lengthening is possible depends on whether there is extra material folded/tucked under the sleeve end for the tailor to let out. Is there? Most jackets, once cut with working sleeve buttons, do not have any to let out.
Secondly, even if you do have enough fabric to let out, it would throw off the look of the buttons on the sleeve, making them look really high up on the sleeve.
