Question:
A few days ago I went to the Ralph Lauren store in Phoenix to get a dress shirt. The woman working there took my measurements and found out that my neck is a 15, my chest is a 37, and my arms are a 35. She promptly told me that they had nothing in stock that is 15-35, and that even if they ordered something, the closest they could get in the blue label would be a 15-34. She suggested I go to Sak's, which was a few stores down. I did, and they also told me they had nothing in stock that would fit me.
What should I do? I'd like to pay under $200 for a shirt. I'm interested in Jantzen. Do you recommend I go that route?
Thanks!
Answer:
custom, although jantzen is not very customer service oriented. you may not get a shirt at all.
take a look at the slim shirt thread. you might find something there.
Answer:
keep in mind that you can also try finding something that fits in the neck and arms, (and hopefully comes close at least in the chest) and have a local tailor taper the body.
i do this with a number of mid-level shirts. it works well when the sleeves fit, not quite as well when the sleeves are baggy.
