Question:
Hey folks, i need a warm coat to survive this NYC winter. My BB Loro Piana storm car coat is a bit too thin. I will be using it mostly for days with out a suit. Im looking for something a little nicer then what ive seen in the saks/bloomingdales stores thus far. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
My first choice as a nice balance between neat and casual was this barbour wool job, but trying it on I cant see it doing the job in less then 40 degree weather:

Another thought was this gloverall duffle coat at Jpress-if its the all wool and not the 80% wool 20% mystery fiber job

the filson weekender looks nice but could be a bit too rustic:

I also took a peek at this patagonia which at first blush seems to have it all, warmth durability and non military, non home boy look. but it fits kinda big boxy and is alas made in china. for $350 it does not seem to jibe with the patagonia eviornmental ethos or general value

Opinions and suggestions appreciated
Answer:
In the winter I always wear a sweater or a sportjacket and for day to day wear, I don't really do wool coats. I prefer cotton/nylon storm system stuff. I picked this up as my daily wearer for this winter. Storm System type exterior and lined in cashmere. It fits slim, which I think is necessary for the style to work.

mine is from jp tilford - I got it taken in all over so it fits me well. Mine is (gasp) black and it goes with my hair but a navy blue or brown would be nice
