Question:
Want to buy this jacket...says it's a medium, but 48 chest seems quite large for a medium...my suit sizing is a 40/42 short, and I always thought that was medium. Is the sizing on this jacket different?

Answer:
it might be european sizing. so 48=38. i would message the seller. 40/42 is polo medium though. 38 is a medium in most european companies which tend to run slimmer so thats why he might of said 48....
Answer:
The 48" for chest is correct measurement. This is an outerwear item, so it'd tend to run a bit large. The jacket is not designed to hug the chest tight. The seller, by the way, is one of the best RL seller on Ebay. His price is not cheap, but he really has some nice stuff.
Answer:
Messaged the seller, said it runs big because it's "meant to accomodate a sweater."
What're your guys' opinions on how this may fit? I don't like tight clothing, but definitely don't want something that looks like it was a hand-me-down.
Answer:
If you're a 40, it's going to look quite big. I'd look for something else or see if he has a small. Polo tends to run big to varying degrees, but usually at least by one size from what I would consider comfortably fitted.
