Zegna shoes

Question:
Anyone familiar with them? They look very nice but not sure about construction. I used to like To Boots, until they started using cheap leather. Now I like some Ferragamo and most Tod's. Can't afford JL.

They are made by a joint venture from Zegna and Ferragamo called ZeFer. From what I hear, they are made to Ferragamo mainline quality. Some people here have first hand experiences, and they might want to chime in.

Better question: who makes them? There's a pair in B&S that look like the Faconnables I bought this summer, which were made in Italy. Don't know the manufacturer, though, and neither did the salesman.
