Question:
I had a small argument with a friend who is planning to buy a nice umbrella (the tall guy with the size 15 shoes, since it's easier for him to find a good umbrella as a small luxury than it is a nice pair of shoes beyond AEs). As he favors brown shoes, he would rather purchase an umbrella with a green canopy, so that the black does not clash with his shoes. I said I heard that black is classic, which he agrees with, and that the wood handle is going to be brown anyway so perhaps there's nothing wrong with black.
I understand that the SF answer would be to buy two umbrellas (which got my friend doing some computations), but what might you think of this issue?
Yes, it's nitpicking, but it's fun nitpicking.
Answer:
You seem to be very close to this gentleman with the size 15 feet.

We share an office and taste in denim. Taste in women, too.
Answer:
Have you started talking about yourself in the third person now?
Answer:
there's nothing fun about this.
Answer:
Not really. I didn't need to talk in third person to be annoying and nitpicky. But you have a very good idea there.
Answer:
I fear for your officemate as he will be fielding your questions on a daily basis. For the record, I agree with your friend.
Answer:
No, no, I'm afraid I'm fielding HIS questions.
Wonder what would make a good non-black umbrella color then. Maroon or dark red, since this is the shoe color that pairs with most suit colors?
Answer:
I'm just afraid.
Answer:
Unless you plan to get a black one too, navy is your best bet.
Answer:
eat McRib.
mmmm..
Answer:
+1 I was going to mention the same thing.
Answer:
Why navy? Heh, BU's school colors are red and white, so I figured why not red for my stuff given the lack of any other preference.
Answer:
McD's did not have the McRib yesterday. My friend was angry.
