Question:
He gets a lot of love over at The Sartorialist, but I personally don't care for his suits. The Sartorialist even featured him as a 'style expert' of sorts in his GQ column.
I'll give this guy credit for making an effort in the right direction, and for being one of the few people who gets his shirt collar height right. The choice of tie, and resulting knot, is good as well.
But everything else is blah. His trousers are not cut well at all, his coat buttons too high, and the length is anything but ideal. I could go on and on, but am I missing something, or do most members agree with me on this?

Answer:
He must be extremely short waisted.

Answer:
I think the length of the jacket makes his legs appear overly long. Perhaps another inch or so in length might have helped this.
The pants, while the length appears to be spot on, look to me as though they could be taken in a bit through the legs.
In general, I like the look (the knot is to large for my taste), but then I'm a sucker for tweeds. Do you think its tweed? Its hard to be certain from the picture.
Answer:
May be a Donegal, but its hard to tell from the pic.
Answer:
Although I agree that the trousers are not cut very flatteringly, and both their waist and the buttoning point are probably too high, I think it looks really cool in a sort of 40s throwback way.
Answer:
looking at the various pics of him Sart's posted, he has his own look and everything about his attire looks deliberately chosen. The fact he isnt "cookie cutter well dressed" makes him stand out, in a positive way. imo.
Answer:
The whole look would be better if his jacket was longer.
Answer:
Do we really need another thread on this guy?
Answer:
I think that he looks good, and that his choices are deliberate. I personally am not a fan of the big knot that he uses, and think his coats are both tight and short. But he comes damn close to looking like an Apparel Arts illustration, which is (I think) what he is going for.
He's no Nana Boateng, but he is OK in my book.
Answer:
Has there been a thread on him in the past?
Answer:
More than a few. You could probably find them by searching for 'sartorialist' or 'high waisted'
I do like how his tie clips right to his trews.
Answer:
He looks good, period.
He's also blessed with a tall/lanky figure, the typical models' body, which make even trash bags look good.
He's obvious put some thoughts into his clothing.

Why do we talk about this guy every week?
Answer:
His entire hand is below the bottom of his jacket and his pants look like they go to the bottom of his chest. However he's still obviously well put together.
Answer:
Please do not get wrong impression, that this guy gets a lot of love on Sartorialist blog.
Sartorialist only allows positive comments and rarely ever allows any critique.
Thus his blog looks and reads like a Purseforum full of post-pubescent girls cooing and o-ooing over latest Gucci "masterpiece".
This guy on a picture is going for Georges Braque's or Picasso's proportions, which would be a commendable feat had it been deliberate and not merely due to poor understanding of proportion.
