Are these pocket squares?

Question:
Please excuse my ignorance but are these linen handkerchiefs meant to be used as handkerchiefs or pocket squares? Or does it matter?

I've always used white cotton for my handkerchiefs and linen for my ps'. Many thx!
Answer:
It doesn't really matter. I prefer a smaller size (13 x 13 is perfect) for pocket squares, but these 17 inchers will do just fine.
Answer:
I get thick Irish linen squares that are smaller, say 12 x 12 or so. I don't like the extra fabric with larger ones, it makes the pocket bulge too much
Answer:
I bought some 17's from Ross and ended up cutting one down to size due to bulk. It was like $1 for 3 Pierre Cardins so whatever but I wouldn't want to chop up squares that are $20 each.
Answer:
I've found these to be a little big myself, but if the size works for you, you should be able to use them as pocket squares.
Answer:
I have the Brooks linen 3-pack. They work fine if you do a defined fold, but they're too bulky for grab and stuff. I just leave them folded and grab 'em when I need to.
