Question:
I love the Cesare Attolini ties I purchased from ShopTheFinest earlier this year. They are made from tightly woven silk with a substantial lining and no tipping. Does anyone know who makes/sells similar neck ties, ie, without tipping? I'm looking for retailers; not having a tie custom made. Also, if someone knows where I can find more Cesare Attolini ties please let me know. Thx!
Answer:
I purchased a number of un-tipped neckties from VCH this last summer that were made by Hartford (like this
one). I have a couple of them for sale in the B&S forum as I ended up never using them.
Answer:
By "Untipped", do you mean seven fold construction or that type?
Answer:
Not necessarily. The two Attolini's I have (and wear weekly) are standard construction (3 fold?). The undersides of the tip of these ties is unfinished (no covering sewn onto the tip). Also the last bit of the tie drapes in a somewhat flimsy fashion. With each wear I've grown more fond of the construction.
Answer:
Rubinacci ties which I believe are sold at his small outpost at the Carlyle Hotel.
