Question:
Getty Images, among other online photobanks, post new photos daily of current day style icons that you would never see in magazines.
I wanted to post the actual photos of people to start a thread like the Satorialist, but for some reason, I can't get the photo's to post properly (maybe the links don't allow it?)
some good examples:

another good photobank is
Corbis but it doesn't allow links to search result pages
Answer:
Getty Images is a professional photography site and someone posting their photos without compensation to the photographer is about the last thing they want. Which is why you're having trouble doing it.
Pay them $125 per photo and you'll have no trouble at all.
Answer:
they are all tagged "Getty Images" with a watermark for the most part, so it's not like anybody is going to use them without their permission
in fact, it might bring them more eyeballs
in any event, there are some great photo's on them and they are updated weekly, so post links to favorites
Answer:
I don't make their rules. I just report 'em like I read 'em.
Answer:
If you have an account with Getty Images--free to register--and you log on, the watermarks disappear.
Answer:
I still have them.
