Question:
So I'm buying a new suit during my next business trip to London. I'm choosing between these two visiting tailors who can come to my hotel.

www.jasperlittman.co.uk
I have:
A black classic RTW ventless two button collezioni that I wear it to dinners, ceremonies etc. Not very good fit because the lapels buckle.
A charcoal with grey pinstripes, altered (by Carlo Brandelli :) ) for better fit kilgour RTW, two buttons, two vents, slanted pockets, waist suppression, super 110s. Very good fit.
A black thin pinstriped bad quality suit ok fit, trousers much more worn than jacket (new can be bought anytime for 100 $), 40 % polyester
I need suits when I visit customers, so I intend to replace my black pinstriped suit with this new one. I usually stay 4 days at a time with the customers once a month so I need 2 to rotate for my visits.
Given my existing suits and my needs:
What are good choices of colour and fabric?
I know high super numbers are less durable, should I care about it since I will not wear it weekly?
Is a 3 roll 2 with ticket pocket too fancy for business?
Can anyone recommend one tailor before the other?
I don't want to make a mistake (like buying a black ventless collezioni...) so I appreciate any helpful advice.
Answer:
Get a charcoal and a navy two-button or three-roll-two, no ticket pocket, side vents.
Answer:
I'm buying one, not two suits. Charcoal preferrable to mid or light grey?
Answer:
You don't mention your coloring but do say you already have a charcoal pinstripe. So I'd recommend a navy two button a la Grimslade's suggestion unless navy is a bad color for you.
Either a plain weave solid or a semi-solid such as a nailhead or pick and pick fabric.
Answer:
Navy (on the dark side) 3-to-2 or classic 2 button. If you didn't already have something charcoal (w/ pinstripes:confused: ) that fits you well I'd say go with charcoal instead. Navy will serve you very well.
Answer:
Littman is recommended by Tom Mahon who is a pretty good tailor. He commends the man for those not able to afford Saville Row prices.
Answer:
Does grey look good with 2-roll-3 buttons?
Answer:
Does "semi-bespoke" mean made-to-measure?
