horizontal wrinkles on flat front pants

Question:
what causes the horizontal wrinkles at the top of the inseam on flat front pants? it seems like a bit is only natural but after a long day of sitting at the office it can look terrible. my initial guess is pants with too short of a rise contributes to this. otherwise my pants are generally very comfortable and not snug at all.
Answer:
They are usually caused by a long day of sitting at the office.
Answer:
That fabric has to go somewhere when you sit down unless you are capable of not bending at the hips when you sit (which would be very impressive). Pleats let the fabric bunch up in a pre-determined way. In the absence of pleats, something's gotta give.
Answer:
The best way to not get wrinkles in to have your trousers pressed between every wear and/or wear a heavier wool.
Answer:
these comments remind me of the seinfeld episode where kramer's friend, the maestro, always takes off his pants when he's in his office. i think i should start doing that since in my office. i can keep my trousers ready to jump into at a moments notice kind of like how firefighters have their pants and boots set up.
Answer:
Wrinkles are a natural occurrence from sitting and cannot be prevented. I own a steamer and use it to remove those wrinkles. Too much pressing is not good for the fabric.
Answer:
Cool. So I am right about the pleated pants thing then. :worship:
