Answer:
It's part of the John Lobb White Fleece line.
Answer:
It's sort of Tony Soprano meets Geronimo.
Answer:
They have to be fake.
Answer:
Sort of reminds me of the Peal & Co. fire bucket occasionally on ebay. You can only assume someone cut the logo out of the insole of a shoe and glued it in.
Answer:
Does the John Lobb bespoke label look different?
Answer:
Very.
Answer:
They have to. That might very well be the ugliest shoe I've seen. Ever. And I'm fairly open-minded.
Answer:
If anybody emails the seller and gets a response, I'd be curious to hear the reasoning/explanation he/she gives for these monstrosities.
Answer:
Maybe I might have to go in person to investigate and report back.....
Oh, BTW is it perhaps just a tad more than a coincidence that the store mentioned is in close proximity to Chinatown???
Answer:
The other thing I forgot to mention was that John Lobb originally started his business in Sydney before moving back to England. However, something tells me he didn't have a store in Chinatown.
Answer:
I've never noticed the 'vero cuoio' stamp / blake stitching on other Lobbs.
Their shop is in Sydney, right around the corner from my favourite Chinese Restaurant, The Golden Century. I wonder if i should go in this week, and see if there are any real Lobbs at that price .
Answer:
Are you sure you want to do that? I wouldn't impose viewing those "shoes", with the naked eye, on anyone.
Answer:
But I haven't tried the Golden Century yet. And, yes, if I do see those shoes after I eat it may not be a pretty sight. I may be forced to buy them yet.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Those shoes are just hideous.
