Question:
I am considering taking the plunge and getting a pair of C&J shoes.
I need something for business casual - I am thinking maybe the Weymouth or Savile.
I'm a bit worried about the sizing.
I am a 8F in Loakes and a 8G in RM Williams.
I've noticed most of C&J's shoes are in E fittings. Are these going to be too narrow?
Answer:
I assume you're not purchasing these from a local store. In the back of your mind you must know that there's no substitute for trying on a couple of different sizes to ensure an excellent fit. At best you can hope to get a fit that's good enough. The Internet brings the world to us, but unfortunately it doesn't bring a full run of shoe sizes so that we can make the best fit choice.
Perhaps you can learn from my experience. I've made the mistake of ordering C&Js online. It's a hassle to use trial and error to determine the best fit.
Answer:
I bought my first C&J from P.LaL and Mr. Shyam Doshi was really helpful. Fantastic!

Yes, ordering online (plal).
I don't know of anywhere locally that stocks these.
High end shoes aren't exactly common here
Answer:
try asking plal
Answer:
I recently bought 3 pairs of C&J at size 9. They are a true size 9 for my feet so for me they correctly run to size.
Answer:
I think the problem is that the conversion from UK to US sizes is not exact.
And I've been thinking about trying C&J, but am kind of worried about returns. Might be worth the cost to find the right size, though.
Answer:
The Saville monk seems more appropriate for biz casual than the Weymouth balmoral.

Answer:
The Weymouth is a whole cut . . .
Answer:
But also a bal, no, since the facings are closed?
