Question:
I have a pair of the shoes and I was just wondering if anyone knows original cost on a pair of black slightly pointed toe lace up shoes. Inside says Doucal's. They were made in Italy. Look like hand made quality. They look like a pair of Kiton shoes I used to have although I'm almost positive they're not near that price range.....
Answer:
They are probably about $200 retail. Bought a pair in France a few years ago. I think they are actually made by whomever makes To Boot New York shoes, as the soles on mine (rubber) were exactly the same as a pair of TBNY I saw at Nordstrom Rack. Or maybe they just get soles from the same place. In any event, unless they have multiple lines that are very different, these probably retail for about the same as the box the Kitons came in.
Answer:
Too funny! Thanks for the reply. Adam Derrick is the To Boot maker.
Thanks Again

Answer:
Nordstrom's has been selling Doucals (
http://www.doucals.com/english/index.html) for between $250-$300. I haven't seen them anywhere else, so not terribly familiar with them.
Answer:
Probably the latter. Rubber soles are OEMed.
