Question:
I was thinking of getting this watch. It's for casual wear and that includes work casual... but I probably wouldn't wear it with a suit.
It's automatic and the Orient brand is owned by Seiko - so it modifies their movement. It's supposed to be pretty accurate. Unfortunately it doesn't have sapphire crystal.
But forget about that, how do you think it looks? I'm just interested in general thoughts.

very striking. Love the blue & clean dial/bezel. Doesn't look monstrously sized either. I may be in the minority but I don't have the reflexive opposition to wearing a diver with a suit. I think it can be a nice contrast of a sporty accessory with a more formal ensemble. The dial, however, can't be too busy & the band can't be rubber. Otherwise, a clean diver like that Orient could look quite nice with a suit, especially one in a medium gray or navy shade.
As you probably know, Orient is a well respected brand that has, as far as I can tell, a nearly non-existent marketing/distribution presence in the states. If you buy it, let us know about your ownership experience. Btw, I also like your Spirit. You seem to be another Japanese watch fan.

Now that you mention it James Bond does the diver watch/suit combo a lot as well. It's more to do with the fact that I just prefer wearing leather straps with a suit. Diver's IMO look better on a bracelet instead of a strap.
I was just gonna say, although I am a big fan of Seiko I don't own that watch. When I posted the picture I probably should have said that I got it from Google images. It's one of many mid-range automatics that I've been looking to get - I have folders of pics and reviews I've been gathering up. I just tend to post it in one of those threads where someone wants advice on what watch to buy :)
